Importing Subscribers from Aweber or Getresponse
Solution
Q: Dear Support,
As you may have heard, not too many current Getresponse customers are happy with their so called "new system". As far as I'm concerned it's a total disaster! I think they lost all common sense over there and it seems they have no one capable of correcting any of the problems.
That being said, I have a question or two if you could be so kind to answer for me.
1. The only reason I haven't moved so far from Getresponse to any other autoresponder service is that those other services would require that my list of subscribers (4,000)
would have to double optin again at their service. And I know that I would be losing a LOT of subscribers just because many wouldn't bother to take the time to do that.
Now I've heard from a fellow Getresponse user that he has moved to your service because you don't require that your incoming customer's subscriber list "optin again" before we can send broadcasts out to them. Is this true? If so, then I'm definitely interested! What would be the procedure for me to move my subscriber base over to your service. How do I do it in detail. I have to know that it will work smoothly.
A: Thanks for your questions, please find my GETresponse (sorry couldn't resist.
1. You can import your subscribers directly without them being contacted in anyway, no optin required. To move to AR365 you would need to export your subscribers from GR to a csv file then follow these instructions:
1. You need open Subscriber Manager -> Import list -> Import from tab-delimited file
2. There you can "Download example tab-delimited file"
3. You can edit this file with MS Excel
4. You need open your CSV file in MS excel too
5. You need copy past your columns from your file to downloaded example
6. Save Excel file as tab delimited
7. Upload file to Autoresponder365 by using Subscriber Manager -> Import list -> Import from tab-delimited file
It would be a smooth transition :-)
2. Yes it saves the outgoing broadcast, so you can use it again.
You can find the online manual for AR365 here:
